Je suis malade

Arthur, our tomcat
Arthur, our tomcat, hasn't been feeling too well lately. His skin is irritated, he whines and he even tries to get attention from the whippets. Now that is definitely not normal. He eats well and drinks his water from the fishbowl, as usual, but you can tell he's not himself.

I took him to the vet. She examined him thoroughly. Even shaved his back partially, to see what was going on. His skin is totally irritated. Some kind of allergy, she claimed. He's on antibiotics and cortisone now. He behaved real well at the vet's office. Like he knew she was going to help him get rid of the itch. He must have gone crazy with all of those itchy spots underneath his fur. He'll survive, as usual and I hope the irritation will leave his body soon. No idea what caused it.

He's something else, our Arthur. Bladder problems caused him to pee blood in the past. That was idiopathic though.. He didn't really have a problem, but stress made him nervous and that's when he would cramp his bladder and pee blood. That mostly happened when we were out of town. He's over that now. He has special cat food for urinary problems and ever since, he's done great.

Come on Arthur, let the antibiotics do their job. You'll be better in no time.
